A visit to Kristof’s Kafe for a working lunch.
My companion eats here often and loves this place. It’s an unpretentious small eatery in Davie’s Pine Island Ridge Plaza. Didn’t strike me as anything special. OK, It’s clean and the service was nice.
The menu has lots of items. Some with flowery names like: “Lone Star burger” and “Funnel Cake Fries-WOW!”
But mostly choices that you’d expect from a smallish cafe.
The food came out shortly. The burger was way-overloaded with cheese, bacon, and fried onions! Looked like a meal for two! Robert was up to the challenge. My Mahi sandwich looked puny next to the burger. It’s a right sized portion. Still, its a nice size and fresh. Not too spicy too. The fries looked like usual standard fare.
Robert struggled to keep his burger off his shirt and in his mouth. Not an issue for me and my sandwich.
That’s kind’a all I can say about my first visit to Kristof’s Kafe. Though Robert loves it, I found it ordinary. Good fresh food, served with a smile.
Maybe I should try breakfast. I heard they have lines out in front on Sunday mornings. Their Yelp page show that they have a large raving fan base. It looks like Kristof’s Kafe is best known for their breakfasts. I really should give them a second shot to impress me in the AM.
